In my imagination, the winds and rains
of what remains of Isaac falling on Indiana
carry in them the sands and elements of Africa.

Somehow, aloft throughout its 10,000 miles
of swirling rage, they now descend upon us,
imperceptibly mingling with our native air and soil.

And, just was unwittingly, we will be richer for it.
