FROM ATLANTA. Entries over the next few days are from Atlanta. Simpsonwood, specifically. Simpsonwood is a 300-acre retreat center on the banks of the Chattahoochee River facilitated by the United Methodist Church. I've been invited by Dr. Christine Pohl (author of Making Room: Recovering Hospitality as a Christian Tradition, Eerdmans, 1999) to participate in a "Pastors In Community" event and to share how we wove principles of hospitality into the facility and service model at Horizon House (www.horizonhouse.cc).
